Blackline Fitness Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Blackline Fitness!
By using our website, facilities, or becoming a member, you agree to the terms below. We've written them to be clear and easy to understand.

1. Agreement Overview

This agreement is between you and Blackline Fitness Ltd (Blackline Ascot Gym).

Your membership begins once your sign-up is completed and your first payment is received.

2. Membership Options & Fees

We offer three flexible membership plans:

  • Your first payment is due immediately upon joining.

  • Monthly payments are taken automatically by our payment provider.

  • You must continue to pay monthly, even if you do not use the gym, unless your membership has been cancelled under the terms below.

 

2.1 Missed Payments

If a payment fails:

  • We may charge a recovery fee.

  • Repeated failures may result in your account being referred to a debt collection agency(additional charges apply).

  • Access to the gym may be suspended until your account is settled.

 

3. Cancellation Terms

3.1 Cooling-Off Period

You can cancel within 14 days of signing up:

  • If you haven’t used the gym, a full refund will be given.

  • If you have used the gym, a pro-rata fee will apply for those days.

3.2 Rolling Membership (£119/month)

  • Cancel at any time with 30 days’ notice in writing. Please click contact link below.

 

3.3 3-Month & 12-Month Contract Memberships

  • You are committed to the full contract term.

  • Early cancellation will incur a fee equal to the remaining payments (e.g. cancel after 1 month on a 3-month plan = £198 fee).

  • After the minimum term, your membership automatically renews monthly at the same rate unless you cancel with 30 days' notice.

 

3.4 Blackline-Initiated Cancellations

We may terminate your membership for:

  • Breach of rules

  • Abusive behaviour

  • Non-payment

Where appropriate, a pro-rata refund may be offered.

 

4. Membership Freeze Policy

You may freeze your membership in these cases:

  • Medical reasons (doctor’s note may be required)

  • Travel over 4 weeks

  • Minimum freeze: 1 month

  • Maximum: 2 months per year

  • A £5/month admin fee applies

  • Freezes must be requested 7+ days in advance

  • Freezing does not count toward your contract term

 

5. Gym Use & Conduct

  • Respect staff, equipment, and fellow members.

  • You are responsible for damage caused by misuse of equipment.

  • Follow all safety signs and instructions.

  • Use of gym facilities is at your own risk.

  • We are not liable for lost or stolen belongings — use lockers provided.

 

6. Health & Safety

  • You confirm that you are in good physical condition and able to use our facilities.

  • Notify us of any changes to your health.

  • We accept no liability for injuries resulting from misuse, pre-existing conditions, or failure to follow staff instructions.

  • Always follow emergency procedures and staff guidance.

 

7. Website & Content Use

  • All content on our site belongs to Blackline Fitness.

  • Do not copy, misuse, or republish any material without permission.

  • We are not responsible for content on third-party websites we may link to.

 

8. Data Protection

  • We follow the UK GDPR to keep your data safe.

  • Your data is used for operational and safety purposes only.

  • You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.

  • We will never share your data without your permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

We do not limit our liability for death or injury caused by our negligence.
Otherwise, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 3 months.

 

10. Legal Information

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.

  • Any disputes will be resolved in UK courts.
